The Feast of San Giuseppe is the most important event in Santa Croce Camerina. Preparations for the event start a week before but the main festivities focus from Friday to Sunday. A three days weekend including two overnight stays in order to follow the most important moments and let you know the local traditions linked to this festivity for centuries. It is also possible to extend your stay.
1st day – Santa Croce Camerina
Arrival by own mean of transport and accommodation in the selected hotel. Meeting with our local Assistant who will introduce to the most well known and the less famous locations of the city, the sightseeing tour includes: the Mother Church, Carmine Church, Town Hall and Celestri Palace. Outside the town it is possible to visit the interesting necropolis of Mirio. Not far away from the city it will be possible to visit the marine village of Punta Secca, famous for the Fiction “Il Commissario Montalbano” and many old Arab or Norman watchtowers along the coast. Dinner in one of the selected restaurants where you can taste some of the typical local dishes. Participation in the first celebration in honour of San Giuseppe. Overnight stay.
2nd day- Santa Croce Camerina
Breakfast at the hotel. Day totally dedicated to the celebration in honour of the Saint that involve various moments of interest until late in the evening, including symphonic marches, the Solemn Holy Mass visit to the “Cene di San Giuseppe” dinners prepared in the various families and music show in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele.
Optional lunch and dinner at a restaurant selecting location and menu from a wide selection of restaurants especially partnered. Overnight stay.
3rd day- Santa Croce Camerina
Breakfast at the hotel and end of our services. Day at disposal, according to the departure time, in order to participate in Sunday celebration.
